Helms, commander of Vandenberg Air Force Base. Helms delivered “A Commander’s Perspective” on topics ranging from the latest use of technology in fighting wars, to her five visits into space, to how the military has come to realize the strength it derives from leveraging its tremendous diversity.

In his opening remarks, Meyers said, “I am proud of (Fielding’s) record . . . . in serving members of the military and veterans who want to work toward advanced degrees to further their careers. Fielding’s flexible learning format, in terms of both time and place, is conducive to people with multiple demands and uncertainty in their lives.

Fielding is part of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges, a consortium of colleges and universities dedicated to helping those in the military and their families achieve higher education.”
